Heritage

Bromley Town Hall Bromley Town Hall NTR Planning is currently working with Cathedral Hotels and its heritage advisorsregarding the proposed conversion of the Grade II Listed Bromley Town Hall to provide a boutique hotel and two independent restaurant units. This scheme seeks to sensitively restore and convert the vacant Town Hall Building, which is presently on the Historic England Buildings at Risk Register. We achieved planning permission for the hotel conversion in November 2016, along with 53 residential units upon adjoining land.
Canterbury Prison Canterbury Prison In April 2014 Canterbury Christ Church University successfully acquired the adjoining former Canterbury Prison as a means to create a consolidated University Campus site. Many of the original 19th Century prison buildings are listed. NTR Planning is advising the University on the overall planning strategy and masterplan approach.
Maidstone - Turkey Mill Maidstone - Turkey Mill Planning and listed building consent have been achieved on behalf of Turkey Mill for The Garden Room adjacent to The Orangery, within the historic gardens of the Grade II* listed Turkey Court, Maidstone. The Garden Room, sympathetically designed by local architects, complementary to The Orangery, is a much welcomed all-weather addition to the reknown wedding and conference facilities at Turkey Mill and replaced the former open-sided pergola which was once described by Prince Charles as something of a 'pig pen'. The successful Turkey Mill business estate is continuing to expand with the assistance of NTR Planning.
Sundridge Park Sundridge Park
NTR Planning advised Cathedral Hotels on the redevelopment of Sundridge Park Mansion. The Mansion, previously in use as a hotel, is a unique and sensitive site, encompassing the Grade I Listed mansion building designed by Sir John Nash and its associated Grade II listed gardens designed by Humphrey Repton, the pre-eminent landscape designer of his time. Planning applications were submitted by NTR Planning and subsequently approved to enable the hotel to be sympathetically converted into either a single large dwelling or 14 luxury apartments.
