Center Parcs - Ireland
NTR Planning has secured planning permission for Center Parcs' first Forest Holiday Village in Ireland. This €233m development will secure 1,500 jobs during the construction phase, and up to 1,000 jobs during operation, and will inject in the order of €1 billion into the Ireland economy in the first 20 years.
The 395 acre development is discretely located in Newcastle Wood, near Ballymahon, County Longford and will include a familiar suite of Center Parcs facilities, including 470 lodges, 30 apartments, 21,200sqm of central buildings (Subtropical Swimming Paradise, sports hall, shops restaurants and cafés), Aqua Sana Spa, sports lake and leisure facilities.
Center Parcs - Woburn
Planning permission achieved for Center Parcs' fifth Forest Holiday village in 400 acres of green belt forest lying in the Bedford Estate, Woburn. NTR Planning was the lead consultant - we submitted the planning application and scoped the nature and content of the EIA as well as giving expert evidence at public inquiry. We secured the discharge of all planning conditions and obtained approval of all reserved matters.
Raithwaite Estate - Scarborough
NTR Planning secured planning permission for a 30 bed hotel extension and 190 holiday cottages and apartments in the grounds of Raithwaite Estate, adjacent to the North York Moors National Park. This helped to secure Raithwaite Estate as an exceptional year-round tourist destination.
Wildwood - PGA HQ
NTR Planning secured planning permission for the relocation of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Southern Headquarters in designated open countryside in Surrey. The proposal also includes 39 golf lodges, an 84-bedroom hotel and a new golf academy. The proposals will provide a centre of sporting excellence to complement the existing Wildwood Golf and Country Club, and provide state-of-the-art facilities for resident and visiting top class professionals.
Center Parcs - Longleat
NTR Planning achieved planning permission for an iconic water ride at Center Parcs Longelat Forest Holiday Village - lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This follows our previous permission for a similar development at Elveden Forest, Suffolk – the first of its kind in the UK.
Celtic Manor Resort
We acted for Celtic Manor Resort, hosts of the 2010 Ryder Cup, to devise a planning framework within which their development aspirations can be realised. This included a new policy in the emerging Revised Deposit LDP recognising the importance of the Celtic Manor, and allowing further development of leisure uses in the context of a Masterplan approach.
