Center Parcs - Woburn Planning permission achieved for Center Parcs' fifth Forest Holiday village in 400 acres of green belt forest lying in the Bedford Estate, Woburn. NTR Planning was the lead consultant - we submitted the planning application and scoped the nature and content of the EIA as well as giving expert evidence at public inquiry. We coordinated and submitted the applications for condition discharge and reserved matters approval.

Bromley South Central NTR Planning Ltd is acting for Cathedral Group (the chosen development partner of London Borough of Bromley) and has coordinated and submitted a major planning application for significant urban regeneration within Bromley Town Centre. This mixed-use development includes a 19 storey residential tower containing 200 apartments; a 9 screen multiplex cinema; 130 bedroom hotel; and restaurant units set within a new central public space. This project is set to be the catalyst for wider regeneration of Bromley Town Centre.

National - retail NTR Planning has acted on 25 Dixons stores (Currys and PC World) achieving planning permission for store extensions, variations of conditions and certificates of lawfulness as part of Dixons' store expansion and remodelling programme. 100% success record achieved. These include large scale mezzanine floors for new Currys Megastores in out of centre locations, such as at Purley Way, Croydon.

Wildwood - PGA HQ NTR Planning secured planning permission for the relocation of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Southern Headquarters in designated open countryside in Surrey. The proposal also includes 39 golf lodges, an 84-bedroom hotel and a new golf academy. The proposals will provide a centre of sporting excellence to complement the existing Wildwood Golf and Country Club, and provide state-of-the-art facilities for resident and visiting top class professionals.

Woking - Offices Planning permission achieved on behalf of Canada Life for an office building on an important gateway site leading into Woking Town centre. We worked closely with the Planning Officers and Architects to arrive at a scheme that responded to the adjacent two-storey residential properties to the north and the larger established and forthcoming commercial properties to the south towards the Town Centre.

Thurrock - Residential Outline planning permission secured for Family Mosaic for up to 1,217 residential units, 940m² of local retail/leisure/community uses and 2880m² for business uses on industrial land. The site is heavily constrained by continuing industrial uses to the west, a railway line to the north and the River Thames, which include a functioning pumping station to the south.

West Ham - TfL Bus Garage Planning permission achieved on behalf Transport for London for a £50 million project to provide a new bus garage facility accommodating 320 buses. The new garage incorporates significant sustainable features including a 70 metre high wind turbine, a sedum roof, rainwater harvesting, biomass boilers and combined heat and power units. This scheme was needed to relocate an existing bus garage demolished to make way for the construction of the new Olympic Park. This complex scheme involved detailed consideration of the continued delivery of bus services throughout the build, highway implications of the proposed bus garage use, the overarching need to meet the Olympics timetable, and the wider masterplanning aspirations for the old Parcelforce site (which included the provision of residential development).

Eltham - Mixed Use This 6 storey development for Cathedral Group incorporates a convenience food store (2,000 sqm net sales area), a retail/restaurant unit, an 86 bed hotel and 71 flats together with a raised first floor amenity deck and basement car parking. As well as requiring a detailed town planning assessment, this application required a PPS4 retail and hotel impact assessment, both of which were produced by NTR Planning.

Tonbridge - Education NTR Planning has advised K College (formerly West Kent College) on a variety of planning matters relating to the development of its main Brook Street site, Tonbridge. This includes planning permission for the College's Campus 21 Project - a comprehensive masterplan for the site creating an educational complex fit for the 21st Century. In addition, NTR planning has successfully secured outline planning approval for residential redevelopment on part of the Campus site freed up for disposal and redevelopment following the implementation of the Campus 21 scheme.

Dartford - Mental Health Planning permission was granted on appeal for a new 60 bed low secure mental health facility (Class C2) in Dartford, Kent. The nature of mental health provision proposed and the 'perception of fear' formed the basis of the Council's reason for refusal. These were thoroughly assessed and refuted as part of a robust planning case.

Maidstone - Heritage Planning and listed building consent have been achieved for The Garden Room adjacent to The Orangery, within the historic gardens of the Grade II* listed Turkey Court, Maidstone. The Garden Room, sympathetically designed by local architects, complementary to The Orangery, is a much welcomed all-weather addition to the reknown wedding and conference facilities at Turkey Mill and replaced the former open-sided pergola which was once described by Prince Charles as something of a 'pig pen'. The successful Turkey Mill business estate is continuing to expand with the assistance of NTR Planning.
